The Vietnam government has started a series of brainstorming sessions to gather ideas on how they could leverage data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to propel their administration forward with digital transformation. The move is expected to enhance the country’s ability to create relevant policies that could lead to better management of their environment.
The proposed digital transformation has surfaced concerns in several areas such as the physical and digital infrastructures, software user-interfaces, data management, cybersecurity, the creation of a new government unit to oversee the function and how similar setups could be applied to other areas such as the economy and social development.
They have noted the difficulty in distilling data that is related to their environment. They are expected to form a committee to study the feasibility of the digital transformation and decide on its digital content. The Vietnam government would be coordinating among the relevant units to oversee the digital transformation, and envision to complete the project by 2030.
