The Thailand government has set up and will be further developing a central system for higher education institutions, to come together to share learning resources online. A wide range of subjects would be aggregated to cater to the learning and development needs of the Thais. This is to ensure that the Thais would be sufficiently reskilled and upskilled for the future.
The support platform would be able to maintain a database of all participants and this would enable the storage of records and grades. Information such as course credits, development works between higher education institutions would be stored thereby enabling cross enrolments between the higher education institutions and also facilitating credit transfers.
As more users start to use the resources from the online university, the system would be able to collect user data for research purposes. This would potentially serve as an enabler for creating quality and relevant teaching modules and also to improve administration processes.
The new system is still at the early stages and only has about 500 online courses that were aggregated from over 120 educational institutions.

Yup, I agree too. Other than online universities, many online tutoring portals (such as https://tutor.com/) are popping up too, allowing students to access paid online tutoring even during the pandemic. The private sector is much faster than the public sector!
